Unforgettable “Day in a Life” tour

We can’t say enough about this tour. The photo ops were great, the activities were real and sincere, and everyone we encountered from the local school principal to a traditional healer were illuminating. This tour never felt like a ‘touristy’ activity. Listening to our guide, of similar age, describe in personal terms how Pol Pot and Cambodia’s history impacted his family and shaped his life as we sat on the ground making thatched roof shingles from palm leaves is something that I will never forget. We are planning to return in 2016, not for Angkor Wat, but to spend another day or two with Beyond Unique Escapes.
